Helsinki, a modern and attractive city

It is without doubt one of the most developed countries and civilized of the world, Helsinki is also a reflection of this idiosyncrasy, since all the order stems from a way of life, that promotes the respect by the environment where is inhabited. The people is conducted for where corresponds, not as passes in other parts where all they pile up and they shout to take a meter due to the transportation media shortage and the lack of politeness. In Helsinski each one circulates for their space, the pedestrians go for the path, the cyclists in the cycle way, and in the center of the street the trolleys and boulevards.

Doing a little history, Helsinki was founded in 1550, as a “rival” one of the Hanseatic city of Reval (nowadays known as Tallin, capital of Estonia) by the king Gustavo I of Sweden. The first one populated was plagued by poverty, wars and illnesses. By a long time remained like an important little coastal town, darkened by the most important shopping centers of the Baltic Sea. The construction of the harbor fortress of Sveaborg (nowadays known as Suomenlinna, literally Fortress of Finland) caused grew the status of the city, but was not but until Russia conquered to Sweden in the Finnish War and was enclosed to Finland like the grand Duchy of Finland that Helsinki truly began to change.

At present, in Helsinki can leave to travel through the numerous islands that surround, there are launches to pass to know all these corners. To know the parks and places of tourist interest a trolley can be taken, they are economic and fast, besides they pass for almost all the areas. In Helsinki there are two main theaters, the Finnish National Theater, and the Theater of the City of Helsinki, which represent the classical works in Finn. In Markets, the better are the Kauppatori and the Market Foyer, there is seen all kinds of objects, even there is a market where the rich reject its clothes of designer, remaining the option of purchase for the ones that do not classify in that stratum.

Not to be missed is to visit the Museum of Sports, located in the Stadium of the Olympics, where the international parties of soccer are played. In Helsinki there is besides, skating rinks, pools, sports and courts of ski. There cheap hotels can be obtained.
